The CIM (Malvasia Information Centre), promoted by the Fundación del Hospital de San Juan Bautista de Sitges, is located in the former Corral de la Vila and in the Hospital’s former winery, in an 18th century building open to the public. The Centre, inaugurated this Saturday, offers a journey through the municipality’s winegrowing past and puts emphasis on the collective heritage that Sitges’ Malvasia has made of itself over the years.
International Museum Day - celebrated worldwide every May 18th - will have a strong presence in Sitges, with a diverse program aimed at a wide audience, organized by Museums of Sitges. Open house day, children's and family activities, concerts and gastronomic offerings are just some of the featured events.
Sitges’ musical offers have been expanded and this summer for the first time the town will be one of the headquarters for the Mediterranean Guitar Festival, dedicated to the classical guitar. The 17 scheduled performances will be held at the San Sebastián Chapel from June 14 to September 27.
