Sitges is a great destination to discover as a family, at any time of year: urban beaches next to the seafront promenade and children’s playgrounds, like the one in Terramar, an old quarter, ideal for a stroll while imagining its past. There is also the fishing area and boats in Port d’Aiguadolç; the Carnival and children’s street parades; there is the Parc del Garraf for hiking and enjoying incredible views, and loads of attractions nearby, such as Port Aventura, Tibidabo and the Museu del Ferrocarril de Vilanova (Vilanova Railway Museum). What we want to say is that here, you will all enjoy yourselves!
Yet another summer, the Sitges Marina is holding its “Midnight Concerts Festival”, taking place from July 12th to August 14th in the Marina Auditorium, beside the Captaincy Tower.
From Thursday 24th – Sunday 27th October, the 7th annual Sitges Live festival will see musicians from Ireland travel to Sitges, for a four-day festival of internationally recognised Irish, Catalan and European musicians, artists and performers.
Sitges' candidacy emphasizes two tourism assets to promote industrial tourism in town: the Malvasia Interpretation Center and the La Sitgetana Craft Beer Brewery. These two local assets, both deeply rooted in the territory, are the main focuses of the Department of Tourism’s proposal to expand tourism and cultural activities and to boost diversification, deseasonalization, and also increase tourist spending.
