The Museums of Sitges took advantage of the 125th anniversary of Cau Ferrat and the inauguration of the central exhibition of the commemoration to try for the first time a new periodic activity. It is a family treasure hunt game that takes place, as it could not be otherwise, in the old house workshop of Santiago Rusiñol. The proposal was born with two different versions: one in paper format for children between 4 and 6 years old and another in digital format - tabletop and mobile phone - for boys and girls from 7 to 10 years.

The treasure hunt, was performed for the first this past weekend as a test ,can be carried out in three languages (Catalan, Spanish and English) and in a free manner within the conventional visits to Maricel Museum and the Museum of Cau Ferrat. Its participants have to guess, amoug other things, the previous history of the building before the arrival of Santiago Rusiñol, what kind of objects his tenant collects par excellence and several curiosities about his stays, the works of art present inside or his special connection with Sitges.. All the answers are between the walls of the same Cau Ferrat and the families that complete the gymkhana itinerary will be awarded with a gift from the store La Puntual.

Family activities are a constant during the annual Calendar of Museums in Sitges. An excellent opportunity for children - and not so children- to interact with the artistic heritage of their closest surroundings. In the specific case of treasure hunts, such activities were carried out in other significant dates, such as for the celebration of International Museum Day or the Day of the Artist. This will be the first time, however, that a proposal of these characteristics is continuously offered to the visitors of the Museum of Maricel and the Cau Ferrat.
